Why the co-op exists

Turn scattered household demand into one project the County can assess.

Individual wells and household concerns do not create an infrastructure proposal. The co-op gives residents a legal organization, a member count and a board that can pursue County support, funding readiness and engineering as one coordinated project.

Project status

The project is real. The system is not designed yet.

The immediate work is to demonstrate credible household demand and prepare a clear case for County involvement. Route design, costs, approvals and construction can only follow that foundation.

Updates

Visible progress, plainly reported.

Co-op incorporated

Fish Creek Water Co-op Ltd. became the legal vehicle for the community project.

AGM and board election

Members elected the board responsible for advancing governance, County discussions and funding readiness.

County direction

The next major milestone is a Council discussion on whether and how the County can support the project.

Household membership

Membership is evidence, not a promise of connection.

The board needs a defensible count of households willing to support the project. Membership strengthens the case for County attention and future project work; it does not establish a route, price, water rate or construction date.
