Co-op incorporated

Fish Creek Water Co-op Ltd. now exists as a legal entity.

Incorporation gives the community water project something it did not have before: a body that can hold membership, keep records, enter into discussions and be accountable for both. Until there is an entity, there is nobody for a County or a funder to talk to.

It is a starting point rather than a milestone in the work itself. What it makes possible (a membership roll, a board answerable to it, and formal conversations about the project) is what the co-op does next.
